The Company
We are working with a well‑established and growing demolition subcontractor delivering demolition, civils and enabling works across the region. With a strong forward order book and long‑term growth plans, this is very much a role with prospects, offering genuine career progression into a Commercial Management role within the next year.
The Role
Due to continued expansion, the business is seeking a Quantity Surveyor who is confident running their own projects end‑to‑end and wants to take the next step in their commercial career.
You will initially manage 5-6 live projects at any one time, typically ranging from £50k-£500k, while also contributing to estimating and tendering activities.
Importantly, this role offers a clear opportunity to step into a Commercial Management position within the next 12 months, with responsibility for overseeing and developing the Estimating function.
Key Responsibilities
Full commercial management of demolition and enabling works projects Producing valuations, managing variations, and concluding final accounts Preparing estimates for tendered and negotiated works Commercial reporting, cost control, and forecasting Issuing Early Warning Notices and managing compensation events Working under NEC contracts Liaising with site teams, clients, and directors Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff as the role developsAbout You
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor Background in demolition, civils, or groundworks, or specialist contractor Proven ability to run your own projects independently Confident managing variations, notices, and cost reporting Ambitious, forward‑thinking, and keen to progress into Commercial ManagementWhat's on Offer
