Looking for a role that mixes office-based tasks with hands-on site involvement across the UK? Established in 1997, Halfway Surfacing & Civil Engineering Ltd is a Sheffield-based civil engineering and surfacing contractor. We deliver a wide range of projects nationwide—from highways and roadworks to complete groundwork packages. We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. Based at our Sheffield office, this role involves regular travel to sites across Yorkshire and the wider UK. You’ll be responsible for managing project finances from tender to final account, ensuring value and quality at every stage. This role is specifically tailored for Quantity Surveyors with experience in civil engineering—particularly roads and sewers . A minimum of 3 years’ experience in this field is essential. Please note: this is an office-based role with regular site visits. Candidates must be able to commute to our Sheffield office daily if not attending a site visit. We are particularly interested in applicants from the South Yorkshire area, though we will also consider candidates from Nottinghamshire.
