I'm working with a leading contractor delivering major infrastructure, port-development and coastal protection projects across the UK and Ireland. As a Quantity Surveyor you'll provide key commercial and contractual support to project teams, helping manage valuations, variations, sub-contracts, claims and financial reporting.Key responsibilitiesAdvise and support Project and Site teams on contract administration and commercial mattersPrepare monthly valuations, payment applications and invoices; assess contract variations / compensation eventsAssist Cost Controllers with monthly financial reporting and monitor subcontractor performanceContribute to tender assessments and sub-contract negotiations/evaluationAttend internal and external commercial meetings; liaise with legal/insurance departments as requiredIdeal candidate profileQualified Quantity Surveyor (degree or equivalent) with legal/commercial awareness in civil engineering or marine environmentGood knowledge of NEC suite of contracts (or similar) and subcontract administrationStrong communication skills, able to integrate with diverse and multi-national teamsFull UK driving licence; willingness to travel and work occasionally off-siteWhat's on offer A dynamic, technically-challenging position in a respected contractor, with genuine career progression opportunities and an engaging, multinational team environment.If you're a commercial-minded QS with a civil/marine background seeking your next step - please apply confidentially or contact us for further details.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
