Freelance Quantity Surveyor – Long‑Term Contract (Property Services) Location: SE London Contract Type: Freelance / Long‑Term Start Date: Feb 2026 Are you an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor looking for a long-term contract within the Property Services, social housing, and refurbishment sector? We’re recruiting for a QS to support a busy programme of refurbishments, planned works, and measured‑term contracts This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong Quantity Surveyor who can manage multiple live sites, handle JCT contract administration, and drive cost control across a varied workload. Key Responsibilities * Full commercial management of multiple projects * Pricing, managing, and negotiating variations * Contract administration * Producing accurate CVRs, valuations, and cashflow forecasts * Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve commercial issues * Managing subcontractor procurement, accounts, and payments * Using Schedule of Rates (SOR) for pricing works * Overseeing material procurement and ensuring cost efficiency * Providing day-to-day commercial support to operational delivery teams Essential Skills & Experience * Strong background in Commercial or Residential refurbishments, repairs & maintenance, or measured‑term contracts * Proven ability to work independently on live projects * Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills * Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office * Confident communicator with clients and stakeholders * Highly organised, self‑motivated, and commercially focused Qualifications & Requirements * Degree / HNC / HND in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (Desireable) * Full UK Driving Licence * CSCS card Why Apply? * Long‑term freelance opportunity * Stable pipeline of Property Services and refurbishment projects * Competitive day rate * Ability to take ownership of commercial functions across multiple sites If you’re a Freelance Quantity Surveyor looking for your next long-term assignment, we’d love to hear from you.
