Job Description

Nicholas Associates are working with an established client within the groundworks and civil engineering sector to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to Join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role with be based in the East Midlands and will involve work within Residential groundworks projects.\n\nRoles and Responsibilities:\n\nNegotiate terms and conditions of subcontracts.\nManage and process payments for specialist subcontracts and key suppliers.\nPerform the closeout process, ensuring all contract terms are met and payments are verified.\nWork with the project team to evaluate the impact of budget changes.\nReview and validate weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted costs with actual costs.\nUndertake site visits to administer the contract in line with project progress.Requirements:\n\nBSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course\nHighly computer literate including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with large data sets\nMust have Residential Groundworks experience\nProfessional membership of appropriate body\nGood data interrogation skills\nBid Knowledge\nExcellent legal/contractual knowledge\nExcellent communication and negotiation skills\nValid driving licence \n\nThis position is ideal for either of the following:\n\nAssistant Quantity Surveyor eager to gain more experience with the goal of advancing to a Quantity Surveyor role\nAn experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step to Senior Quantity Surveyor\nA Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking to work on larger-scale projects with a well-established, reputable contractor." \n\nIf you are interested in this Quantity Surveyor role, please contact John Ashcroft on (phone number removed)\n\nAbout Us\n\nWe are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
