Job Description

Role Overview\nOur client is a growing contractor within the interiors and passive fire sector, delivering joinery and fire door projects across a range of environments.\n\nThey are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial management of projects, ensuring costs are controlled, risks are managed and projects are delivered in line with contractual requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n• Preparing and analysing cost plans, estimates and tender submissions\n• Managing valuations, variations and final accounts\n• Monitoring project costs and maintaining commercial control throughout delivery\n• Negotiating with clients, subcontractors and suppliers\n• Managing subcontractor packages, payments and agreements\n• Supporting procurement and supply chain strategy\n• Identifying and mitigating commercial risks\n• Producing accurate financial reports and forecasts\n• Managing cash flow through timely applications and invoicing\n• Working closely with operational teams to support project delivery\n• Ensuring compliance with contractual and internal procedures\n\nCandidate Profile\n• Experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveyor role\n• Background within construction, joinery or passive fire protection \n• Strong understanding of valuations, variations and cost reporting\n• Commercially aware with good attention to detail\n• Confident communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders\n• Proficient in Excel and commercial reporting tools\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n• Competitive salary and package\n• Ongoing training and development\n• Clear progression into Senior QS / Commercial roles\n• Opportunity to join a growing and well-supported team
