Job Description

Quantity Surveyor\n\nLinear Recruitment are partnering with a modular contractor specialising in turnkey solutions within the commercial sector of construction. Due to company growth, they are seeking to source a Quantity Surveyor for their office based in Leeds.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nYou will manage the full commercial and procurement function for the assigned projects within the hire division, including:\n\nTaking full ownership of the Project based Installation, Demobilisations and alterations processes. Developing scope of works, obtaining supply chain quotations and creating quotations to customers.\n\t\nPreparing and managing valuations, applications for payment, variations, and claims.\n\t\nMonitoring project budgets, forecasting costs, and producing accurate commercial reports.\n\t\nIdentifying, assessing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks in line with company governance.\n\t\nProcuring materials and services, including negotiating pricing and placing orders with supply chain partners.\n\t\nAuthorising and managing project variations, subcontract packages, and material orders\n\t\nWorking from drawings and specifications and/or Bills of Quantities and/or Scope of Works to support accurate procurement and cost control\n\t\nLiaising closely with the Hire Team to ensure real-time cost visibility and control\n\t\nManaging and administering subcontract accounts and supplier relationships\n\t\nCollaborating with intercompany and cross-functional departments.\n\nAbout the Candidate\n\nDegree in Quantity Surveying\n\t\nExperience of working in a fast-moving repairs and maintenance/FM environment with multiple concurrent work packages underway.\n\t\nCommercial awareness to maximise recovery\n\n• Confident in sub-contract procurement, management, and commercial reporting\n\n• Comfortable interpreting drawings, specifications and scope of works and resolving commercial issues\n\n• Highly organised, proactive, and detail-focused, with a collaborative working style\n\n• Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel and Microsoft Office\n\n• Experience working cross-functionally with operational, technical, and finance teams\n\n• Background in a repairs and maintenance/hard FM environment is highly desirable\n\n• Full UK Driving Licence required\n\nBenefits Include:\n\nSalary up to £50k plus car allowance\n\t\nPension \n\t\nWFH up to 3 days per week (upon successful settling in period)
