Quantity Surveyor Job Opening We are working with a well-established and growing civil engineering and groundworks contractor operating across the South of England. The business specialises in delivering infrastructure and groundworks packages for residential developments, working with a range of regional and housebuilders. Projects typically include: Roads and sewers (S278 / S38 / S104 works) Foundations, drainage, and external works Full groundworks packages on housing developments Multi-phase residential schemes ranging from smaller sites through to large-scale developments The company has built a strong reputation for quality delivery, long-term client relationships, and repeat business, and continues to expand its commercial team due to sustained growth. Quantity Surveyor Job Description: An opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team, supporting the delivery of multiple residential groundworks projects. You will act as a key commercial point of contact across projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure strong financial control and project performance. Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities: Act as the main point of contact for all commercial, surveying, and estimating queries on projects Ensure the business meets all contractual obligations and responsibilities Assist with the preparation and submission of tenders and contract documentation Manage and agree variations, claims, and design changes Produce cost plans, forecasts, and commercial reports Monitor and report on project profitability and performance Work collaboratively with procurement and site teams to drive project success Ensure compliance with internal processes and reporting deadlines Quantity Surveyor Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience in Quantity Surveying within UK residential groundworks Strong understanding of groundworks and infrastructure packages for housing developments Excellent numerical and analytical skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Experience using Bluebeam or similar construction software Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholders Whats on Offer Competitive salary and package Long-term career progression within a growing business Exposure to a wide range of residential developments Supportive and collaborative team environment If you're a Quantity Surveyor with groundworks experience looking to join a stable and expanding contractor, this is a great opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team.
