Quantity Surveyor
Location: Swansea / South Wales
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Car allowance
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a high-growth property development company based in South Wales, specialising in new build residential social housing.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing the commercial, contractual, and financial aspects of multiple residential developments, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare initial estimates and appraisals for new projects
* Oversee the tendering process
* Set up and finalise project budgets
* Prepare and manage project cashflows
* Measure and value works completed on site
* Manage payment certificates, assess valuations, and resolve disputes
* Liaise with clients and construction professionals including site managers, project managers, technical and land teams
* Complete reports as required
* Work collaboratively within a driven and ambitious commercial team
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential new build construction (essential)
* Experience managing multiple live projects simultaneously
* Strong understanding of project cashflow management
* Estimating experience is desirable
* Proactive, motivated, and career-driven
* Strong computer literacy
* Ability to work effectively under pressure
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
