Senior Quantity Surveyor\n\nLocation: Greater Manchester\nSalary: £50,000 – £70,000 (DOE)\nStart: ASAP\n\nA well-established £25m turnover civil engineering and groundworks contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its commercial function.\n\nThe business delivers demolition, asbestos removal, remediation, earthworks and civil engineering projects across the Northwest and has a strong reputation for repeat business and long-standing client relationships.\n\nThis is a key role within the company, working closely with senior leadership to ensure robust commercial control across multiple live projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nFull commercial management of projects from tender through to final account\nPreparation and submission of valuations, variations and cost reports\nCost/value reconciliation and accurate monthly forecasting\nSubcontractor procurement, management and payment certification\nContract administration under NEC and/or JCT forms\nIdentification and management of commercial risks and opportunities\nAttendance at project and quarterly management review meetings\nSupporting pre-construction with pricing, cost planning and tender reviews \n\nCandidate Requirements\n\nProven experience operating at Senior QS level within civil engineering, groundworks or related sectors\nStrong understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts\nConfident managing multiple projects simultaneously\nCommercially astute with strong negotiation skills\nAble to work closely with directors and operational teams
