Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the lead on diverse and challenging civil engineering projects? Our client, a respected and fast-growing civil engineering contractor, is seeking a skilled QS to join their commercial team and support continued expansion. As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of civil engineering works. You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on budget, on schedule, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Manage cost control, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple civil engineering projects Prepare and review bills of quantities, take-offs, and tender documentation Oversee subcontract procurement, negotiation, and contract administration Monitor project progress and assess variations, claims, and compensation events Prepare detailed monthly valuations and final accounts Ensure compliance with NEC, JCT, or other relevant contract frameworks Provide commercial guidance to site teams and senior management Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders Candidate Requirements: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering (groundworks, highways, utilities, drainage, structures, earthworks, or similar) Solid understanding of contractual frameworks (NEC/JCT) Strong analytical and financial management skills Confident communicator with the ability to build positive working relationships Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple live projects Why Join?
