Quantity Surveyor – Utilities / Infrastructure
Location: North West (with travel to Ireland 1–2 times per month)
Type: Permanent
An established and growing infrastructure contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting a portfolio of power distribution, transmission, and fibre projects across the UK and Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-to-senior level QS looking to step into a varied role with exposure to major utilities frameworks and cross-border project work.
Key Responsibilities
*
Manage commercial aspects of multiple utilities projects (power & fibre)
*
Prepare and review cost plans, valuations, and variations
*
Support contract administration and subcontractor management
*
Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure commercial performance
*
Assist with forecasting, reporting, and risk management
*
Occasional travel to Ireland (1–2 times per month)
About You
*
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within utilities, infrastructure, or civil engineering
*
Exposure to power (distribution/transmission) and/or fibre/telecoms projects
*
Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge (NEC experience desirable)
*
Ideally working towards or recently operating at Senior QS level
*
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
