We are working with a major FM and property services provider who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong pricing and commercial analysis background to support their social housing and public-sector maintenance contracts across the South of England.
This role is ideal for a QS who enjoys the commercial “engine room” side of the business, with a strong focus on pricing, CVR reporting, and working to Schedules of Rates across high-volume repairs and maintenance programmes.
The position offers location flexibility across the South, with a mix of office, site, and remote working depending on project needs.
Role Overview
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate pricing, strong cost visibility, and commercial control across multiple housing maintenance and FM workstreams. Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you’ll support decision-making through robust CVR, forecasting, and margin protection.
This is a commercially focused role rather than purely site-based project QS work.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing of works using Schedules of Rates (SoR)
Producing and managing CVR reports, forecasts, and financial performance analysis
Supporting commercial strategy through detailed cost and margin analysis
Reviewing and validating job pricing, variations, and recharge mechanisms
Supporting budget setting and financial controls across contracts
Working with operational teams to improve cost efficiency and commercial outcomes
Assisting with change control and client reporting
Supporting month-end commercial processes
Use of commercial and finance systems to manage reporting and controls ✅ Essential Experience
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within repairs & maintenance, FM, or housing maintenance
Strong experience working with Schedules of Rates and high-volume pricing models
Solid background in CVR, forecasting, and financial reporting
Commercially analytical with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across operations and finance
Strong Excel and commercial systems capability
