Job Description

Quantity Surveyor (Fire Protection)\n\nManchester\n\n£60-80k/annum\n\nDCS are actively recruiting for an experienced and detail-driven Quantity Surveyor/ Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in Passive Fire Protection (PFP) and/or Fire Door works. You will play a key role in the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring financial control, accurate reporting, and compliance with industry standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPrepare, manage, and evaluate cost plans, bills of quantities, and tender packages for firestopping and fire-door projects.\nCarry out site measurements, valuations, and review contractor applications.\nMonitor project budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow.\nAssess and negotiate variations, orders, and final accounts.\nEnsure compliance with relevant building regulations and fire-safety standards.\nWork collaboratively with project managers, site teams, contractors, and clients.\nMaintain accurate commercial records and contribute to monthly reporting.\nProvide commercial input to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.\n\nRequirements\n\nProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or fire-safety sectors.\nSpecific knowledge of Passive Fire Protection systems and/or fire door installation/remediation \nStrong understanding of building and fire safety regulations, BM-Trada/FIRAS standards and products details\nExcellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills.\nProficiency in estimating software and MS Office.\nRelevant qualifications (e.g., Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar).Full UK driving licence (if applicable).\n\nIf you feel you are a good fit for the role, we'd love to hear from you!\n\nDCS Recruitment and all associated companies are committed to creating a working environment where is celebrated and everyone is treated fairly, regardless of , , , , or belief, , marital or transgender status, age, or
