Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Region: East London / Eastern Counties Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 Location: Home Based

A growing specialist subcontractor rapidly expanding across the UK, is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of projects across Eastern London and the Eastern Counties.

\n

Who you'd be joining

\n

This is a specialist subcontractor operating in roofing, cladding, and envelope systems, turning over circa £25 million and growing significantly. With a strong pipeline of work and expansion underway into Wales, the Midlands, the South West, and the South East, they're building out regional commercial teams to match. You'd be joining a business that promotes from within, values hands-on experience over corporate credentials, and has a real sense of ownership and pride in the work.

What you'll be doing

\n

You'll manage the commercial function across a portfolio of up to four live projects from smaller packages through to contracts worth around £4 million. Covering variations, interim applications, valuations, and client reporting. You'll report into the Head of Commercial and be trusted to run your projects with a high degree of autonomy.

\n Manage applications, variations, and cost reporting across your project allocation \n

Site visits approximately fortnightly - projects currently in Cambridgeshire, Basildon, and Dagenham \n

Liaise directly with main contractor and developer clients \n

Use MS365, Excel, and industry-standard commercial software for reporting and management \n

Attend a monthly commercial management meeting in West London \n

Minimal pre-con involvement, estimating handles schedules prior to order sign-off \n

About you

\n

\n 5+ years' experience in a QS or commercial role - subcontract background strongly \n

Hands-on knowledge of roofing, cladding, or envelope systems \n

CSCS card desirable but not essential \n

Based in East London or the Eastern Counties (Cambridgeshire, Essex, and surrounding areas) \n

Comfortable working from home with regular but manageable travel to site and meetings \n

Confident managing client relationships and commercial correspondence independently \n
