Job Description

Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor\n\nOur client, a leader within the power utilities and distribution sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. This hybrid role, with a mix of office and home working, focuses on renewable projects, including Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to both operation and maintenance (O&M) and new developments within the renewable energy field.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nOverseeing all aspects of quantity surveying for power utilities and distribution projects\nAdministering contracts under NEC 3 / 4 and FIDIC frameworks\nManaging contractor relationships and ensuring compliance with contractual terms (T1 T2)\nPreparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports\nConducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies\nProviding advice on contractual claims and negotiations\nCollaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure project delivery within budget\nMonitoring project progress and ensuring financial control and reporting\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nSignificant experience as a Quantity Surveyor within Power, utilities or Civil Engineering sectors\nProficiency in NEC 3 / 4 contract administration (FIDIC - Desirable, not essential)\nStrong background in working for a contractor (T1 T2)\nExcellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to tight deadlines\nRelevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying\nExcellent communication and teamwork abilities\n\nBenefits:\n\nPaying up to £68,000 per annum\nCompany car allowance or company car\n25 days holidays plus bank holiday\nPension contribution\nOpportunity to work on innovative renewable energy projects\nHybrid working model with a mix of office and remote work\nProfessional development and career progression opportunities\nSupportive and collaborative work environment\nIf you are an experienced Quantity Surveyor that is either working in the Power / Renewable Energy sector or who is looking to get into this thriving industry, we would love to hear from you.
