Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Central Scotland

Company Overview:
Our client is a well-established Civil Engineering Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality roads, bridges, track, and infrastructure refurbishment projects across Scotland.
Role Overview:
They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects, supporting operational teams, and driving overall project performance.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
Maximise valuations and ensure timely certification and payments.
Manage and agree contract variations efficiently.
Forecast costs and values across all project elements.
Work closely with operational teams to procure labour, materials, and subcontractors within budget and timescales.
Monitor on-site progress and issue required contractual notices on time.
Review and assess subcontractor quotations, ensuring best value and compliance.
Manage subcontractor accounts and prepare final accounts accurately.
Requirements
Qualification in Quantity Surveying (HND, Degree, or equivalent).
Proven experience in a similar Quantity Surveyor role.
Background in bridges, roads, or infrastructure projects .
Experience in concrete repair projects is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
Proficient with key cost management and estimating software.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Willingness to travel to sites as required.
