Job Description
Our client is a leading EPC who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join an exciting project based in the North East of England. This role is a initial 3–4-year fixed term contract. To be successful in this role you will need experience as a on-site Quantity Surveyor and be able to commute to work on site 5 days a week.
As the right candidate for this role you must:\n\n * Confirms quantities for progress and invoice verification of payments to construction contractors.\n\n * Coordinates and schedules measurement activities with construction management.\n\n * Prepares and maintains complete and accurate field measurement notes, including numerical calculations, basis of calculations and assumptions / background.\n\n * Supports the contract administrator in establishing Request for Contract Action (RCA), or Project Cost Alerts (PCA), when required.\n\n * Reviews construction contractor’s proposal for contract changes for accuracy and quantity basis and validate against current contract with the contract administrator.\n\n * Assists in evaluation of change requests: interfaces with the contract administrator for the initiation and development of contract change documents.\n\n * Where required, support discussions and negotiations with contractor on (counter) estimates and contract change request.\n\n * Assist in providing input to home office for contract cost forecast developments as required.\n\n * Liaises with Engineering, Contracts, Construction and UPT management on evaluation of potential changes, risks assessment, and mitigation.\n\n * Liaises with other Project Controls staff for aspects of (potential) changes.\n Assists in compiling historical data / key quantity analysis.\n\n * Monitors CMSI Project Cost Alerts (PCA’s) and changes for commitments and forecasting purposes\n\nQualifications\nMust hold relevant QS qualification\nMinimum of 5-10 years’ experience in similar position
