QUANTITY SURVEYOR REQUIRED ON PERMANENT BASIS IN BIRMINGHAM FOR A MAIN CONTRACTOR\n\nAbout The Contractor:\n\nThey are a renowned Tier 1 Main Contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering high-profile construction projects across the UK. Their commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction has positioned them as a leader in the industry. Currently, they are seeking a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

\n\nQuantity Surveyor Overview:\n\nAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will be a vital member of the project team, responsible for managing aspects of the commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule.\n\nQuantity Surveyor Responsibilities:\n\nConducting comprehensive cost estimation and preparing accurate cost plans\nManaging subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and agreement of terms\nMonitoring project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures\nEnsuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management\nCollaborating with the project team to address commercial issues and find cost-effective solutions\nPreparing and submitting monthly reports on project financial performance\nConducting cost and value reconciliations, as well as interim and final account agreements\nSupporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team Quantity Surveyor Requirements:\n\nProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, or vast experience as a Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to step up\nRelevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field\nThorough understanding of various forms of construction contracts\nExcellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills\nA proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving Quantity Surveyor Benefits:\n\nUp to £60,000 + Package \nOpportunities for professional development and career advancement\nInvolvement in high-profile projects with a reputable Tier 1 Main Contractor\nSupportive and dynamic work environment fostering teamwork and innovation
