Job Profile for Quantity Surveyor CF46276 Bennett and Game Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute construction professional to take ownership of multiple projects from contract award through to final account, while also supporting project delivery and coordination. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys both commercial management and project support, with the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and play a key part in successful project delivery. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and project co-ordination aspects of several live projects, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities Review contract documentation including terms and conditions, employer's requirements, drawings, warranties, and bonds Provide commercial and contractual advice throughout the lifecycle of each project Attend pre-contract and post-contract meetings Monitor, price, and agree project variations and change orders Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment and manage interim valuations Oversee payment tracking and ensure timely agreement of final accounts Produce cost value reconciliations (CVRs), forecasts, and cash flow reports Support dispute resolution where required Prepare tender enquiries and subcontract packages Negotiate subcontract terms and place orders Manage subcontractor applications, payments, and final accounts Help improve internal commercial processes and procedures Support junior commercial staff and encourage best practice across the team Requirements Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction Strong understanding of contract administration, valuations, CVRs, and subcontract management Experience working across multiple projects simultaneously Good knowledge of construction processes and project delivery Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams Willingness to travel to site when required Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
