Job Description
Quantity Surveyor\n\nWillmott Dixon currently have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Project Surveyor to work on projects within our West Midlands area. We deliver projects between 10-100 million pounds across multiple sectors such including MOD, healthcare, blue light and education, so no two projects are the same! \n\nThe role of a Quantity Surveyor is to provide commercial support on projects to ensure that it is procured, delivered within budget and to the highest quality whilst exceeding our customers' expectations.
You will be responsible for the delivery of the project to meet its financial targets. You need to demonstrate a good working knowledge of contract conditions and procurement of packages of works as well as management of project risks. You will also have good communication skills with the ability to nurture productive relationships with both the supply chain and customers.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nEnsure projects are delivered within budget and to the highest quality, exceeding customer expectations.\nWork closely with the project team and senior commercial staff to ensure budgeted targets are met.\nEstablish strong working relationships with supply chain, consultants, and customers.\nAccurately value, certify, and issue payment notices for supply chain partners in accordance with contract arrangements.\nManage the procurement of work packages from our proven supply chain partners in line with company standards and requirements.\nEnsure external valuations are submitted in accordance with conditions of the main contract and that payments are received by the due date.\nComplete cost value comparison (CVC) reports to accurately reflect the current position on site and the final projection.\nIdentify any potential disputes in a timely manner and enable introduction of effective solutionsEssential and Desirable Criteria\n\nEssential Criteria:\n\nProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.\nStrong proficiency in MS Excel.\nProcurement and cost management experience.\nExcellent financial and contractual awareness.\nAbility to read and accurately interpret drawings and specifications.\nStrong communication and relationship-building skills.\nValid driving licence.Desirable Criteria:\n\nConstruction-related degree.\nKnowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.Additional Information\n\nWillmott Dixon embraces in the workplace and will consider flexible and agile working.
