TEXO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our external construction client. Our client is well-regarded for their expertise in civil engineering, drilling, and utility services. You will be responsible for managing cost and value aspects of a high-value infrastructure project. This is a predominantly site-based role in the North East. Skills, Qualifications & Experience: Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor or subcontractor. Background in large-scale civil engineering projects. Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experienced in subcontractor management, ensuring compliance with contract terms and timelines. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with a proactive attitude; capable of working independently and within a team. Full UK driving licence. Legal right to work in the UK without restrictions (sponsorship not available). Responsibilities: Maintain clear, collaborative communication with key stakeholders including the Client, Project Manager, Managing QS, and engineering teams. Prepare monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and present findings, risks, and opportunities to Senior Management. Submit accurate and timely Applications for Payment in line with contract requirements. Oversee commercial management of subcontractors, including payment assessments, compensation events, and final account agreements. Attend and contribute to client meetings, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Provide monthly project cash flow forecasts to the Managing Quantity Surveyor. Identify contractual risks and opportunities, ensuring clear communication with the wider team. Promote and support the consistent application of the Integrated Management System across all project activities.
