A reputable civil engineering contractor operating within the water sector is seeking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor on a long-term contract basis to support the delivery of key water infrastructure projects in the Bristol area.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a stable, long-term contract within a regulated water framework, offering hybrid working across site, office and home.
The Role You will play a key commercial role in the successful delivery of water-based projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, profitably and in line with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial management of water infrastructure projects from inception to final account
Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports
Subcontractor procurement, valuations and payment management
Preparation and agreement of interim valuations and final accounts
Management of variations, change control and compensation events
Providing commercial support to project and site teams
Ensuring compliance with contract conditions and internal procedures About You This role will suit a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in the water or utilities sector.
You will ideally have:
A Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management qualification (Degree or equivalent)
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within water, utilities or civil engineering
Working knowledge of NEC contracts
Ability to work autonomously within a project environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
