Quality Technician - Calibration

Were looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Quality Technician to join our team. In this role, youll play a vital part in ensuring that all measurement tools, equipment, and test systems across our manufacturing site are accurate, reliable, and fully compliant with required standards. Your work will directly support our commitment to delivering consistently high-quality products.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform in-house calibration of equipment, including bespoke production test rigs, torque tools, and crimp tooling.Maintain and update the calibration database, generating monthly workload reports and logging all calibration results.Coordinate subcontract calibration services, including preparing equipment, arranging collections, and acting as the main point of contact for external providers.Manage and support visiting subcontractors delivering on-site calibration services.Oversee all documentation and records associated with the calibration of gauges and tooling.Coordinate calibration activities for company-owned gauging located at supplier sites.Support the development, specification, and procurement of new calibration equipment as required.Contribute to continuous improvement activities that enhance product and service quality across the business.What Were Looking ForStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to workExperience in calibration, quality assurance, or a similar technical discipline (preferred)Confidence working with databases, documentation, and reporting toolsExcellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and subcontractorsA proactive mindset with a passion for maintaining high standardsWhy Join Us?Youll be part of a team that values precision, continuous improvement, and collaboration. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the reliability and quality of products used across our global customer base.QualificationsQualificationsEducated to HNC/HND level in an engineering disciplineExperienceMinimum of 1 years experience in an engineering environment, ideally within Quality Assurance or a related field.Practical, hands-on experience with manufacturing processes.Proficiency in the use of basic metrology and measurement equipment.Additional InformationOur current Calibration engineer has handed his notice in. The role is critical to our certification and cannot be absorbed into the team. He has agreed to stay until the end of April but it is very important that this moves quickly to provide a sufficient handover period.JBRP1_UKTJ
