Key Responsibilities:\n\nManage the Manufacturing Quality team to achieve business performance and annual objectives, providing specialist expertise in the application and deployment of Quality tools.\nAct as the Quality representative for operational tiered reviews and escalation reviews.\nEstablish and maintain quality assurance and control processes to ensure product standards are consistently achieved across suppliers and manufacturing operations, leading to Right First Time production and customer satisfaction.\nManage and control non-conforming material through the Material Review Board, Return to Vendor and in-house problem solving, reducing scrap and rework costs, improving FPY, and reducing customer complaints.\nBuild positive relationships with Airframe manufacturers, Airlines, and suppliers as the main point of contact for product Quality.\nLead quality aspects of Supplier selection and management, performance scorecard, and drive supplier quality improvement, maintaining supplier controls and driving corrective actions.\nDevelop the Quality team skills, bench strength, and successor pipeline.\nDrive continual improvement activities to enhance quality, cost, delivery, and operational performance, actively promoting a Quality culture.\nDevelop and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing quality processes, methods, and practices aligned with the Business Management System.\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nWorking knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, AS9145, and Part 21G. Approved auditor qualifications are an advantage.\nStrong understanding of quality assurance and control tools and techniques, with experience in Lean manufacturing techniques.\nHands-on experience with 8D problem solving methodology and supporting tools and techniques.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to influence at all levels.\nProven ability to lead, manage, and mentor a Quality team towards achieving organisational growth goals.\nStrong customer focus and commercial acumen, organised and results-driven with a focus on meeting deadlines.\nExperience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.\nHighly diligent, enthusiastic, and driven, with an outstanding work ethic and a proactive approach.\nExceptional planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands under pressure.\nHighly adaptable and capable of making decisions in a fast-paced environment.\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).\nExperience with various manufacturing methods and techniques, including surface treatments, and the ability to verify in accordance with Engineering data and cosmetic standards.\n\nBenefits:\n\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays\nPension scheme\nHealthcare scheme\nLife assurance\nEmployee Assistance Programme\nRetail discounts\nTraining opportunities\n37.5 hours per week with a 1 pm finish on Fridays\nIf you are an experienced Quality Manager looking to contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking aerospace company, we would love to hear from you.
