This role will focus on managing, structuring, and controlling quality activities across complex engineering and supplier networks, ensuring compliance with nuclear standards and safety requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary point of contact for all project and Field Services quality mattersSupport Supplier Quality and Project Quality activities for UK parts projectsLead pre-outage quality planning (risk identification, documentation preparation, site setup)Improve surveillance routines during outages and manage NCR resolutionDrive post-outage lessons learned and continuous improvement initiativesBuild and maintain quality dashboards to track and action performanceDrive internal quality action plans and coordinate strategic forumsLead supplier risk assessments and define Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs / ITPLs)Define surveillance strategies across the supply chain (A/B/C levels)Manage witness schedules and inspections with suppliersLead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities (8D, A3, 5 Why, FMEA)Ensure Nuclear Safety and traceability requirements are appliedSupport release of final documentation (EoMR) in line with project commitmentsCoordinate and coach other Project Quality Managers as requiredQualificationsRequired Skills:Extensive industrial Quality experience, preferably in NuclearQuality Assurance / Quality Control experience or qualificationsProven experience leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholdersStrong track record of driving change initiatives and improving quality performanceRequired Qualifications:A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.Desirable Skills:Experience in outage planning and field services qualityProficient in ISO 9001, ISO 19443, and Quality Management Systems (QMS)Experience with Lean and advanced quality tools (FMEA, 8D, A3, 5 Why)Exposure to supplier management and inspection planningAdditional InformationWhy join us?We bring together entrepreneurial, tech-driven people to deliver innovative solutions for leading companies.At ALTEN, you’ll work on exciting projects, supported by ongoing learning, mentoring, and clear career development tailored to your goals.Join a passionate team and help build tomorrow, today.In short you get:A personalised career path and a rewarding management styleA huge diversity of engineering projects and industriesPrivate Medical InsuranceCycle & Tech SchemeEmployee assistance programmeLife insurance & Pension SchemeSocial atmosphere, regular gatherings & team buildingsFlexible way of working (role dependent)We are proud to support the Armed Forces Covenant & actively encourage applications from members of the Armed Forces community, including veterans, reservists, service leavers, and military spouses/partners.
