Mazco Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established, high-spec precision engineering business to recruit an experienced Quality Manager. This is a key leadership role within the organisation, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of the Quality Management System, drive quality performance, and lead inspection operations, while remaining hands-on where required. Key Responsibilities * Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with AS9100 / ISO9001 standards * Lead internal, external, and customer audits * Monitor, analyse, and report on quality KPIs to senior management * Oversee the inspection department, supervising a small, skilled team * Support hands-on inspection activities when required * Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues, NCRs, and corrective actions * Review and coordinate FAIRs, PPAPs, and inspection documentation * Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and quality processes Requirements * Proven experience managing a QMS within AS9100 and/or ISO9001 environments * Strong background in precision engineering / CNC machining * Experience operating and programming CMM equipment * Ability to program CMMs using PC-DMIS (from CAD models) * Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a quality function * Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with customers and internal teams About You * Hands-on, detail-oriented, and quality-driven * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment * Proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement * Confident in taking ownership of quality performance and driving standards forward
