Quality Inspector

Our manufacturing Client is seeking a Quality Inspector, ideally with electronics manufacturing knowledge/experience. The role is offered as a permanent, full time position reporting to the Quality Manager.

Salary: £26,788.88 pa + OT when required – weekly pay

Location: near Dartford

Hours: 39 pw

9am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 9am to 1pm Friday

Benefits: 25 days leave + BH, uniform, pension etc

The Quality Inspector role will be responsible for inspecting key component groups before product is released from the production area; ensuring feedback for all non-conforming product is passed to the Production Supervisor and Operators.

Quality Inspector Skills/experience required:

* Experience within electronic manufacturing environment preferred – PCBs

* Understanding of IPC-A-610 or qualification preferred.

* Able to identify components including resistor colour codes.

* General standard of education required.

Quality Inspector MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To perform full visual inspection of key areas in conventional build before release from the area.

* To be aware of company health and safety requirements.

* To understand and implement necessary anti-static precautions.

* To be competent in the use of Inspection tools (magnifiers etc) for PCB manufacturing.

* To understand manufacturing documents and follow specific instructions.

* To understand IPC 610 standards with regard to conventional assembly.

* To highlight any build discrepancies to the Quality Department and Production Supervision.

* To ensure section area is clean, tidy and safe for all staff at all times.

* To carry out First Offs against Product Bill Of Materials and customer specifications
