Quality InspectorFull-time08:00 16:00, Monday to Friday£25,000 per annumPermanent roleAbout the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to join our clients team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring their systems meet the highest quality standards expected by their customers.You will be responsible for inspecting materials, components, and finished products throughout the production process, identifying defects or deviations, and ensuring full compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, effective prioritisation, punctuality, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement.Required Skills & Experience (Hard Skills)Knowledge of quality systemsKnowledge of measurementsUnderstanding of engineering drawingsUnderstanding of manufacturing processesExperience working in Quality AssuranceKey ResponsibilitiesMeasurementand Equipment ManagementPerform precise measurements using callipers, FARO Arm, micrometres, and plug gaugesManage the calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and reliabilityTesting and InspectionConduct various tests, including crack testing and other quality-related inspections, to verify product integrityPerform weld section testing and analyse results to support quality assuranceManage part inspection processes (incoming and outgoing goods, etc.) and stock sorting to maintain quality standardsAssist with sample approvals (first, mid, last off, or frequency depending on conditions) to validate productionUse applications such as Safety Culture to accurately capture and document all inspection detailsProcess and Quality DocumentationUpdate and prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) when required to standardise production processesEnsure compliance with the Quality Management System (IATF16949 / ISO9001 / ISO14001, etc.) and support adherence to quality standardsQuality and Issue ManagementSupport the management of all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team, including internal, supplier, customer, and warranty concernsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues efficiently and minimise production disruptionImmediately notify relevant stakeholders of any unacceptable goods or processes during manufacturingHealth, Safety, and Environmental ComplianceAdhere to and promote Health, Safety, and Environmental policies to maintain a safe working environmentContinuous Improvement and Industry AwarenessStay up to date with current and emerging trends in manufacturing and engineering that may impact product qualitySystem and Inventory ManagementUse Factory Master to release and reject parts as required, ensuring inventory accuracy and quality complianceWhy Join Us?Be part of a quality-driven manufacturing environmentPlay a key role in delivering high-standard products to customersOpportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiativesStable, full-time, permanent role with consistent working hoursCRC Recruitment are a leading Midlands based recruitment consultancy covering vacancies across the UK.
