This position is responsible for verifying that all incoming components and materials meet defined specifications and quality standards prior to being accepted into inventory.Operating within a dynamic and fast-paced production environment, the role demands a versatile individual with proven experience in quality control. Proficiency in conventional metrology techniques is essential to accurately assess the quality of both products and the associated documentation.Waukesha Bearings is a leading designer and manufacturer of hydrodynamic fluid film bearings, active magnetic bearing systems and seals for high-performing turbomachinery and rotating equipment in oil & gas, power generation, marine and industrial markets.WHAT YOU WILL DO:First Article inspection creation of reportsFirst Off checks (within goods inwards area only)Retention of inspection recordsRelease / rejection of goods in itemsIdentification status of Goods receivedVerifying supplier certification retention of records in appropriate filesQuarantining goodsCalibration - ensuring inspection equipment is calibrated as requiredCustomer returns notification of Quality EngineersMRR / CAR creationT-cards (Safety / Continuous Improvement / FPOs)Scanning documentation / electronic filingMaintaining records of inspectionLiaison with Stores / Purchasing / Planning / Manufacturing DepartmentsCreate certificates of conformanceTier II attendance / participationOther duties as / when deemed necessary by ManagementRequired profileSkills & Experience:Proven experience in a quality inspection role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment Fully competent in reading and understanding engineering drawings, including knowledge and understanding of geometric tolerances. Proficient use of a range conventional metrology gauges such as depth, external, internal and bore micrometers Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
