Can you lead confidently on 8D methodology, FMEAs and Control Plans?
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, influential role within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. You will take ownership of quality activities, drive structured problem-solving, lead audits, and ensure customer and supplier requirements are consistently met. With direct responsibility for people and processes, this role will suit someone who thrives on accountability, leadership, and delivering lasting improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all quality processes across production and customer-facing activities.
*
Champion the use of structured methodologies including 8D, FMEAs, and Control Plans.
*
Conduct and support internal audits, supplier assessments, and customer visits.
*
Ensure compliance with IATF16949 and customer-specific requirements.
*
Drive resolution of customer and internal concerns, ensuring robust corrective actions.
*
Support APQP and PPAP through new product introduction phases.
*
Provide internal training and coaching on quality tools and standards.
*
Lead and motivate quality personnel, ensuring strong team performance.
Experience & Skills Required
*
Proven Quality Engineering background within automotive manufacturing.
*
IATF16949 Internal Auditor qualified (Second Party ).
*
Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Core Tools.
*
Extensive experience leading 8D investigations.
*
Previous personnel management/leadership experience.
*
Strong communication skills with confidence to influence at all levels.
*
Resilient, proactive, and able to thrive in a demanding environment.
*
Knowledge of coatings or surface treatment processes advantageous
