Do you thrive on structured problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring robust quality standards from concept through to production?DENSO is a $47.2 billion global mobility supplier developing advanced technology and components for nearly every vehicle on the road.At DENSO Marston Ltd in Shipley, West Yorkshire, we design and manufacture high-performance heat exchange units and cooling modules for leading OEMs across off-highway construction, agricultural and engine power markets.Working Hours & BenefitsWorking Hours:Monday Thursday: 08:30am 5:00pmFriday: 08:30am 1:30pmBenefits include:Stakeholder pension scheme (10% employee contribution)Life assurance (4x salary)Permanent Health InsuranceOnsite parkingSubsidised canteenDiscounted gym membershipDiscounts across 100s of UK retailersEmployee Assistance ProgrammeThe RoleAs a Quality Engineer, you will be instrumental in embedding a strong quality culture across the business.You will act as the primary interface for customers on quality matters, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 and driving excellence through APQP, PPAP, and structured problem-solving methodologies.You will collaborate cross-functionally to support New Product Introduction (NPI), manage customer concerns, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to ensure long-term quality performance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities in line with IATF 16949Prepare and submit PPAP documentation, ensuring compliance and timely approvalsManage customer complaints and warranty claims as the primary quality contactConduct root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and IshikawaImplement and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Support cross-functional problem-solving and containment activitiesBuild and maintain strong customer relationships, including audit supportSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) and Approval to Ship processesAnalyse quality data using SPC and statistical tools to drive improvementEnsure compliance with quality standards and customer-specific requirementsLiaise with suppliers on quality performance and continuous improvement initiativesWhat Were Looking ForMinimum 5 years experience as a Quality Engineer within manufacturing (automotive preferred)Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirementsProven experience with APQP and PPAP processesHands-on experience with core quality tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans)Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving capabilityExperience managing customer quality concerns and reporting (e.g. 8D)Degree in Engineering or equivalent experienceExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentAdditional InformationThis is an excellent opportunity to join a globally recognised organisation offering long-term career progression within a technically advanced manufacturing environment.All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.JBRP1_UKTJ
