We are currently seeking to fill an exciting role of Quality Engineer within our Defence Manufacturing business in Bristol. Defence Manufacturing has a wide breadth of capability across a growing product portfolio, covering both new manufacture of products for the JSF LiftSystem (within LiftWorks), as well as Component Repair activities on a variety of other Defence Programmes such as EJ200, Adour and TP400 (within RepairWorks).

The role involves providing quality support to Original Equipment Manufacture and Repair activities, ensuring compliance to external regulatory requirements, such as UK MoD, MAA MRP145, and the Rolls-Royce Management System while working with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to drive down Cost of Non-Quality and improve right first time. This role provides a great opportunity for development and upskilling for those from other business areas.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing

Drive compliance to regulatory requirements (MAA MRP145, AS9100 and AS9110)

Participate in Defence audit programme and act as a guide for external auditors

Support closure of Quality Notifications, MARS investigations and audit Non-Conformance Reports

Support Manufacturing Engineering in improving Right First Time and reducing Cost of Non-Quality

Maintain visual management for all activities to clearly show activity and achievements
