Job Description

A reputable North West manufacturing engineering business is looking for an NPI/Quality Engineer with an FAI background to join its skilled team, within a friendly, fast paced and clean working environment. \n\nThe position is a permanent vacancy. \n\nThe business has a strong focus on developing its people with the potential to further their careers.\n\nSalary is competitive and a generous holiday entitlement of 33 days including bank holidays.

\n\n36 hour working week covered over 4 days working 7:00am-4:30pm Monday - Thursday AND with a performance bonus paid every six months. Friday overtime is often available.\n\nAlso includes a benefits package with access to discounts from leading retailers.\n\nRole details as follows:\n\nQuality Engineer (NPI/programme based)\n\n•\tMust be committed to working safely and comply with the 5S standards in place.\n•\tMinimum 3 years’ experience (QE) required and must be within a manufacturing environment\n•\tIdeal candidate will be a timed served inspector (ability to read drawings, specifications and determine / understand if manufactured items conform) \n\nKey process knowledge: \n•\tManufacturing methods from material to finished products\n•\tAerospace / defence standards of work \n•\tThe structure / workings of a QMS / IMS\n•\tVarious inspection methods (hand tools, Keyence, CMM)\n•\tNon-conformance / MRB\n•\tConcession raising\n•\tFAIR / FAIR preparation \n•\tAPQP/PPAP\n•\tPersonal skills: problem solving, effective decision making, waste elimination, continuous improvement identification, pragmatic and solution based forward thinking, excellent communication\n\nThe above is the core role responsibilities, though other associated requirements of the position may not be listed here. \n\nThere is free parking at the work facility, and discounted gym memberships available.
