Quality Engineer – Aerospace Location: Basildon Salary: COMPETITIVE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE Hours: Monday–Thursday 08:00–17:00 | Friday 07:30–12:30 Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent An established aerospace manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support and strengthen its quality and compliance function. This role offers the opportunity to play a hands-on part in maintaining aerospace standards, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring customer and regulatory requirements are consistently met. Working within a precision engineering environment, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of aerospace quality systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving. What’s on Offer Competitive salary depending on experience 25 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays Pension scheme Death-in-service cover Long-service awards Early Friday finish Opportunity to influence and drive continuous improvement initiatives Key Responsibilities Conduct internal audits against AS9100 and customer-specific requirements Investigate customer complaints and rejections, implementing corrective actions Lead root-cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone and 5 Whys Manage internal non-conformance reporting and resolution Work cross-functionally to identify, address and prevent quality issues Support ongoing continuous improvement and best-practice initiatives Skills & Experience Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role within aerospace or precision manufacturing Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 standards Experience with auditing, non-conformance management and corrective action processes Confident communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Able to manage changing priorities and collaborate effectively across departments Why Apply?
