A reputable North West manufacturing engineering business is looking for an NPI/Quality Engineer with an FAI background to join its skilled team, within a friendly, fast paced and clean working environment. The position is a permanent vacancy. The business has a strong focus on developing its people with the potential to further their careers. Salary is competitive and a generous holiday entitlement of 33 days including bank holidays. 36 hour working week covered over 4 days working 7:00am-4:30pm Monday - Thursday AND with a performance bonus paid every six months. Friday overtime is often available. Also includes a benefits package with access to discounts from leading retailers. Role details as follows: Quality Engineer (NPI/programme based) Must be committed to working safely and comply with the 5S standards in place. Minimum 3 years experience (QE) required and must be within a manufacturing environment Ideal candidate will be a timed served inspector (ability to read drawings, specifications and determine / understand if manufactured items conform) Key process knowledge: Manufacturing methods from material to finished products Aerospace / defence standards of work The structure / workings of a QMS / IMS Various inspection methods (hand tools, Keyence, CMM) Non-conformance / MRB Concession raising FAIR / FAIR preparation APQP/PPAP Personal skills: problem solving, effective decision making, waste elimination, continuous improvement identification, pragmatic and solution based forward thinking, excellent communication The above is the core role responsibilities, though other associated requirements of the position may not be listed here.
