The role

As a Quality Control Inspector - Structural you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Post Holder shall support the Quality Manager in ensuring the Type 31 Royal Navy Frigate Quality and Governance Objectives are achieved and support Quality Improvement initiatives across the Type 31 project.

Day to day, you’ll manage the inspection test report (ITR) inspection regime and maintain completion records within CMS, as well as:

The structural inspection and acceptance of ships structures
Provide close liaison with Lloyds Register (LR) and other inspection and verification bodies as required.
Manage the ITR inspection regime and maintain completion records within CMS.
Manage and coordinate LR inspections and co-ordinating their inspection diary.
Conduct product verification audits and quality investigations on board ship as required. xsrmqjs
Where qualified carry out magnetic particle, liquid penetrant or ultrasonic inspection of welds and components

This role is full time and based onsite at Rosyth.
