Quality Control Analyst (FTC 12 Months) Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-focused Quality Control Analyst to support our Technical Manager in maintaining high food safety and quality standards across raw materials, production processes, and finished goods. This role is offered as a one-year fixed-term secondment and is ideal for someone looking to develop their technical and quality experience within a food manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Testing and analysing incoming raw materials, work-in-progress samples, and finished products Maintaining appropriate stock levels of laboratory chemicals and equipment Identifying and reporting non-conformances to the Technical Manager to enable timely corrective actions Carrying out Legionella testing and boiler water treatment testing Accurately recording, reporting, and communicating all test results in a timely manner Supporting the completion and maintenance of BRC documentation Completing and maintaining traceability exercises Acting as an active member of the HACCP team Supporting additional analytical, quality, and reporting activities as required Skills and Experience: Previous experience within food manufacturing, quality assurance, or laboratory testing Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and food safety management systems Confidence using basic laboratory and testing equipment Laboratory experience is advantageous but not essential Personal Attributes: Take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks Proactively challenges issues and raises concerns early Work collaboratively with production and technical teams
