Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of software quality assurance testers fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Drive the move to automation within the team. Drive the adoption of test automation within your team, increasing coverage and efficiency while maintaining testing rigor. Play an instrumental role as an individual contributor, participating in test planning execution and complex problem-solving alongside your team. Collaborate with fellow QA Lead(s) to define and refine comprehensive testing strategies covering functional, performance, security, and accessibility testing. Partner with Product Engineering and Delivery teams to integrate quality practices throughout the development lifecycle. Own test planning and execution for your team, ensuring thorough coverage and timely delivery. Champion quality metrics and reporting, providing visibility into product health and testing effectiveness.
Qualifications
Previous experience in software quality assurance across multiple projects and environments. Proven track record leading or mentoring QA teams with demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams. Strong expertise in both manual and automated testing with hands‑on experience in modern automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress or similar). Experience designing and implementing test strategies for complex large-scale software systems. Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and experience integrating automated testing into delivery pipelines. Excellent collaboration and communication skills with ability to influence and build relationships across technical and non‑technical teams. Pragmatic problem‑solver who balances quality with delivery timelines and business priorities. Experience with Test Cases, SQL, Quality Assurance, Agile, TFS, Jira, Software Testing, Test Automation, Cucumber, QA/QC, SDLC, Selenium.
Bonus
Experience in healthcare / regulated industries. AI and/or contract testing. Working overseas is not permitted; all applicants must ensure they are able to legally work and reside in the UK during standard working hours.
