(This role will Including progression to the role of Lead Teacher (QTS) on successful completion of the 12-week probationary period) An impressive range of fully funded trainingpathways Opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of behaviour analysts, speech & language therapists and occupational therapists allowing a holistic approach to pupil development Company benefits including pension scheme, performance related bonus scheme, annual salary progression, staff recognition days, High Street discount platform and a comprehensive wellbeing and employee assistance programme Free Parking or Transport to and from Central Guildford and Cranleigh Training & Development Opportunities Behaviour analysis specific qualifications including CABAS teaching ranks, Certification with the UK Society for Behaviour Analysis (UKBA(Cert) & UKiBA (Cert)) and the 40-hour Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) course Masters qualification in (High Incidence & Disabilities) and/or (Behaviour Analysis) PROACT SCIPr UK Behaviour Management and Instructor Training Support, mentorship and regular supervision from some of the UKs leading and internationally recognised ABA Experts Extensive and regular industry training in First Aid, Safeguarding, Emergency Medication, Behaviour Support, Personal Care, Autism, Leadership & Line Management to name a few Opportunities to broaden your skills and join different committees and working groups relating to Mental Health, Staff Voice, ED&I, Ethics, Emergency Medical Response and much more Responsibilities of the role Class Teaching Provide support and teaching based on behaviour analysis to autistic pupils Collect, record and analyse data to monitor progress and develop support plans Interact and participate with the pupils in the development of skills that support their social and emotional development Lead and take part in educational visits and off-site activities with pupils (during school hours) Qualified Teaching Team Contribute to the design of an engaging school curriculum, providing differentiated long, medium and short-term plans Plan and deliver school-wide curriculum activities such as topic lessons and themed event/weeks Oversee the implementation and evaluations of wider school curriculum plan Support the delivery of life skills programmes and entry level qualifications for students, including assessments, recording evidence and internal moderation Contribute to team meetings and the schools newsletter To be successful in this role you will need: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teaching & Learning Status (QTLS) Candidate (For Early Careers Teachers (ECTs)
- A minimum of 1 year of the supported induction process to have been completed in a mainstream setting) Teaching experience within the UK school system and an understanding of the National Curriculum in England An interest in and/or experience of working in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Confident working with pupils with a high level of need which may include dysregulated behaviours Confident supporting others with personal/intimate care where required Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with all stakeholders An understanding and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people The ability to perform tasks of a physical nature (often demanding) including twisting and stooping and working at a lower height A commitment to Jigsaws ongoing training and professional development programme Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion Ability to remain calm in high pressure situations with a positive, can-do attitude Salary: From £34,398 per annum plus a £1000 Joining Bonus Contract terms: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:45am-4:45pm, Tuesday: 8:45am-5:30pm, Friday 8:45am-4:30pm Term time Only Please note: This role is also known as QTS/Trainee CABAS Teacher' We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk.
