We will consider flexible working arrangements for any of our roles and also offer workplace accommodations to ensure you have what you need to effectively deliver in your role.Purpose of the role:This role supports the preparation and delivery of M&G plc's Group annual report and consolidated financial statements for the 2025-year end. Following the reporting cycle, the role will also support the implementation of IFRS 18 requirements for financial statement presentation.What you'll do:Support the preparation of the Group IFRS financial statements, including ownership of several notes to the accounts, produced to auditable standardsSupport the overall preparation of the Annual report and accounts, including ownership of the overall verification process.Supporting the implementation of new IFRS 18 accounting standardsTo maintain effective working relationships with other teams within the M&G plc finance function, ensuring that Group reporting needs are communicated, understood and metThe skills you'll need:Working knowledge of IFRS reporting requirementsQualified AccountantWorking knowledge of financial reporting regulatory requirementsExperience of dealing with complex transactions and associated accountingSome knowledge of industry trends, best practice and developmentsKey organisational skills to support the year end reporting process overall and ability to adapt to changing requirementsStrong stakeholder management and ability to work under pressureStrong experience of IFRS accounting requirements, with a thirst to developExperience in the production and delivery of financial reporting in a financial services environment would be beneficialNext stepsWe have a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture at M&G plc, underpinned by our policies and our employee-led networks who provide networking opportunities, advice and support for the diverse communities our colleagues represent.
