Summary:


The role of the QC Analyst will be responsible for developing and running the standard, in-house QC methods for customer samples at pilot scale and above. This will involve test method development, routine analysis, sample request scheduling, and management and improvement activities. They will also be involved with external analysis submissions and in-process control measurement methods, liaising with the Process Development Engineering team.


Responsibilities/Duties:


  • Test method development for physical and chemical characterisation techniques, such as particle size analysis, ICP, Karl Fisher and adhesion testing;
  • Manage sample analysis request submissions;
  • Schedule test submissions to meet customer needs;
  • Conduct routine analysis on samples and report results in a consistent manner and
  • Improvement of test methods to improve accuracy, efficiency, and flexibility.


Required Proficiencies/Experience:


Essential:


  • Running and developing analytical test methods for chemical produces;
  • Operation and interpretation of multiple analytical chemistry methods such as ICP-OES, XRF, UV-Vis, etc;
  • Strong analytical & reporting skills and
  • BSc in Chemistry or a related scientific subject.


Desirable:


  • Operation and interpretation of physical test methods.

  • £35,863 - £46,730 annually depending on experience;
