Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Mid-Level Python Configuration Developer to join their Industry leading technology organisation! You will work as a Python‑focused engineer within a build and release environment, supporting and improving how software is built, signed, packaged, and released within a highly secure, on‑premise enterprise environment.


This position will be a contract (Inside IR25) through until 31st October 2026, subject to extension based on budget. You will be expected to be onsite 3 days a week in Cambridge.


Targeting the following skillsets:

  • Strong Python development experience, with the ability to write full, standalone scripts or programmer (not just small edits or reused snippets).
  • Experience working in a build, release, CI, or developer tooling environment, or as a developer closely aligned to build systems.
  • Ability to debug issues methodically, explain root causes, and take ownership of fixing problems in scripts, pipelines, or build processes.
  • Experience working with Git and GitHub (or GitHub Enterprise) for version control and collaboration.
  • Exposure to configuration management (e.g. understanding how software is installed or configured).
