Are you looking for a new challenge?\n\nIf so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Pyrometry Engineer at our customer embedded site in Wolverhampton.\n\nJob OpportunityJoining our team as a Pyrometry Calibration Engineer. Key part to this role is the inspection and validation of certificates (Trescal and third party).
Maintaining relevant records of work, data, and results in a traceable and auditable manner. Utilising NADCAP and UKAS to carry out Calibrations and support the customers technical needs. You will be responsible for calibrating measuring instrumentation used in Customer accredited processes in accordance with ISO 9001, Company Procedures, and recognised specifications.\n\nYour key responsibilities will also include:\n\nPerform calibration of customer equipment using approved procedures and good Metrology practice.
Calibrating measuring instrumentation on a customer site to traceable standards.\nEnsure all certificates and records are completed accurately.\nParticipate in customer surveillance and accreditation audits.\nMaintain the availability of the Laboratory standards as dictated by the Head of Quality.\nPerform internal cross comparison audits within the Laboratory as required.\nProduce and audit calibration procedures for use within the Laboratory for customer calibration.\nDevelop measurement uncertainty budgets for customer calibrations.\nConduct all duties in accordance with Company Health and Safety procedures and policies.\nProvide technical support to colleagues on request in line with capability.\nWork unsupervised to approved calibration procedures.\nUnderstand and utilise calibration procedures and have a good understanding of the importance and application of the AMS2750 standard in calibration.\nSign certificates in the agreed area of expertise.\nMaintain and produce accurate calibration records enabling the production of calibration certificates\nAdditional reasonable duties as required by the role and Career Level. \n\nCompany Benefits\nCompetitive salary\nContinuous development and training plan\n25 days holiday and the option to buy/sell days\nFlexible working options\nAccess to the Trescal PerksHub\nEmployee well-being programme\nMedical Health Cash Plan\nPension and Life Assurance Scheme\nCycle to work scheme\nGym membership discounts\n\nEssential Skills\nHave a technical qualification such as HND, HNC, NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or above.\nGood understanding of calibration practices and theories.\nKnowledge of Windows-based and laboratory automation software.\nExperience of working within a customer focused environment.\nGood interpersonal and communication skills.\nAbility to work with the minimum of supervision & manage your own workloadTrescal is the global leader in calibration services, offering an array of industries a single source for measurement, repair and asset management across the globe.
