Food Manufacturing experience essential\n\n * Hybrid (2 days per week on site with flex)\n\nA leading Food Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Purchasing Manager to join the team. Reporting into the General Manager, this Purchasing Manager will have responsibility for both direct and indirect expenditure. The successful applicant will have previous experience in a food manufacturing environment across Packaging, Ingredients and raw materials .\n\nPurchasing Manager responsibilities include:\n\n * Monitor supplier performance, negotiate optimal pricing, and strategically source new suppliers where required.\n\n * Liaise daily with the production department to report stock levels and highlight any supply chain disruptions.\n\n * Apply Lean Manufacturing methodologies to drive process improvements and operational excellence.\n\n * Collaborate closely with the Technical Department to ensure alignment on quality standards, food safety compliance, and product development goals.\n\n * Identify efficiency opportunities, implementing innovations and best practices to enhance operations.\n\n * Prepare, submit, and manage tenders, conducting effective contract negotiations with suppliers.\n\n * Uphold food safety and product integrity, ensuring all goods meet required standards.\n\n * Conduct and support audits of suppliers and service providers, ensuring compliance with food safety, ethical sourcing, and legal obligations.\n\n * Contribute to strategic projects, supporting business planning and risk mitigation in line with company growth objectives.\n\n * Foster a culture of integrity, collaboration, and a "do the right thing" mindset across all interactions.\n\n * Ensure the site remains audit-ready at all times through consistent food safety compliance.\n\nYou will be a Purchasing Manager within a food manufacturing environment and have experience across Packaging, Ingredients and raw materials.\n\nSupplier negotiation and sourcing experience essential.\n\nTo apply please email a cv
