Position: Purchasing Lead
Location: Daventry

Salary: - £34,000

Purchasing Lead required for an automotive small/medium component manufacturer based in Daventry. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing purchasing (preferably automotive or aerospace) and strong negotiation and commercial skills.

Purchasing Lead Overview

Lead supplier negotiations on price, terms, and long-term agreements
Benchmark market pricing for raw materials (stainless, inconel, aluminium, fabrication consumables etc.)
Raise and manage purchase orders in line with MRP requirements
Issuing and monitoring supplier schedules
Ensure timely supply of materials to meet production schedules
Control purchasing spend in line with budget
Negotiate improved payment terms where appropriate
Work with Finance to support cash flow planning
Purchasing Lead Requirements

Experience in manufacturing purchasing (preferably automotive or aerospace)
Strong negotiation and commercial skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced SME environment
Data-driven and systems literate (MRP/ERP experience essential)

Purchasing Lead Salary & Benefits

Salary: £34,000
Working hours - Monday - Friday 8-4
25 days holiday + bank hols
