To work directly with primary and secondary school aged children and young people who display social, emotional, behavioural and communication needs. To work with education providers and partners to promote inclusive practice and autism friendly learning environments. Through a focus on health and wellbeing you will support a nurturing, restorative, solution focussed environment where children and young people work towards positive social, emotional and behavioural self-management and sensory response using known strategies and approaches. You will work with colleagues to establish trusting and empowering relationships with children and young people to promote independence, resilience, and re-engagement with learning. You will support the planning and will deliver targeted and time limited individual and small group work programmes to meet identified priorities for children and young people.

ResponsibilitiesThe Individual

This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. xbpsjku


Therefore the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.

Starting Salary: £29,110.12 (pro rata)
£15.13 per hour
10 hours per week (term time only)
