Role: Psychology Graduate
Location: Feltham, Hounslow
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: c.£25,000 pro rata
We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated Psychology Graduate to join a supportive specialist school community in West London. This is an ideal opportunity for a Psychology Graduate who is passionate about supporting primary aged children, bringing energy to the classroom and helping pupils thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
About the Psychology Graduate Role
As a Psychology Graduate, you will work as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist primary school for children with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, including autism. The Psychology Graduate will collaborate with teachers and therapists to support communication, behaviour and individual learning needs, creating a nurturing, stimulating environment.
Psychology Graduate - Key Responsibilities
- Support individual pupils and small groups to access the curriculum.
- Assist with therapeutic activities and behaviour-support strategies.
- Foster a positive, joyful atmosphere where pupils feel safe and valued.
- Contribute creative ideas to classroom activities, sensory projects and school events.
Psychology Graduate Specification
- Warm, approachable and able to build strong rapport with children.
- Enthusiastic, motivational and confident in encouraging pupil engagement.
- Creative and imaginative, enhancing learning through engaging activities.
