A well-established Pupil Referral Unit is seeking a dedicated PRU Teacher to join their supportive and dynamic team, working with KS3 and KS4 students.
About the Role - PRU Teacher
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours
- Support students who may be at risk of exclusion or disengaged from mainstream education
- Create a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment
- Use strong behaviour management strategies to de-escalate and manage challenging situations
- Work closely with support staff, external agencies, and parents/carers
- Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and re-engagement in education
About You - PRU Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
- Experience working with KS3 and KS4 students
- Strong behaviour management skills and confidence managing challenging behaviour
- Experience working with SEMH needs or in a PRU/alternative provision (desirable)
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with young people
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
