I am currently recruiting for an exciting start-up business who are looking for an experienced Prototype Development Engineer to join their team in London. The Prototype Development Engineer will support the build, testing, and troubleshooting of next-generation consumer products. If you enjoy solving technical problems and working closely with engineers, this role puts you right at the heart of product development. As Prototype Development Engineer responsibilities will include: Assemble mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components for prototype units. Support engineers with design changes and provide manufacturability feedback. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues. Run functional, performance, and durability tests using specialised equipment. Maintain accurate documentation, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and test reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and uphold strong safety practices. Key skills needed for the Prototype Development Engineer: Technical qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology or similar.
